About Me
Ever since I was a young lad back in England I have been brought up with dogs. My parents always had German Shepherd Dogs and we went to training school to teach them to be well behaved companion dogs that we could take anywhere.
25 years ago I started training my own dogs and had a great deal of success in the obedience arena. Whilst training at the German Shepherd Club of WA, I was asked to be an instructor, and qualified some months later. To further my knowledge, I went to Murdoch TAFE and am now an Industry Accredited Canine and Behaviour Modification Trainer. I remained at TAFE a further 24 months where I obtained my Certificate III in Companion Animal Services.
At this time I am Head Trainer for one of the biggest mix breed dog clubs in Western Australia and have taught thousands of dogs and handlers in obedience work. I am a Positive Reinforcement Instructor but will use negative reinforcement if necessary. I have successfully trained both dogs and parrots utilising clicker training methods. I am a qualified Obedience judge with Australian National Kennel Club.
I love training pets and competition animals in drive, both offering unique challenges, a variety of instruction and rewards for handlers and family members alike.
